Capturing the Orient Express and the hypnotic desert my idea was to present the huge shawl in a very glamorous but melancholic mood. Simple but bold colours make it even more striking. Burning Red, Black, White and Gold are all very powerful and magickal colours symbolizing life, wealth, death, passion, innocence, serenity and although there are slight shades of Bourdoux, Brown, Baige we fail to recognize them just like we fail to see all of the aspects of the reality.
The fringes make the huge part of the shawl (46 cm on each side) and are reminiscent of camel’s riding rugs very decorative. The idea hit me when I watched “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” where the main characters were riding horses in the desert and generaly the whole ambient of the film.
